• understand the basic elements of literary analysis, such as plot, character, and point of view;
   
• describe the interpretive processes involved in the analysis of a Shakespearean play;
   
• critically analyze a Shakespearean production;
   
• describe who Sigmund Freud was; and
   
• identify the fundamentals of psychoanalysis.
