This RWLO could be applied in the following courses: Geometry, Math, History of Science and Math, and others. Specifically, this RWLO meets the following Mathematics course competencies:

• See how mathematics and science work together in explaining a real world phenomenon.
   
• Use scale drawings and proportions to solve problems, make comparisons, and estimate the circumference of the earth.
   
• Utilize geometry to in a real world applications.
