• In the Tools pull-down menu choose Internet Options.  Select the Advanced tab.  You may check the box in Printing Options to choose to print web pages with or without backgrounds.

• If a web page has unnecessary pictures, you can eliminate them by choosing not to show pictures.  In the Tools pull-down menu choose Internet Options.  Select the Advanced tab.  Deselect the box that is next to "Show Pictures" located in the Multimedia Category .
  (When you choose not to show pictures, that includes all images on that web page.)
