During the 1999 Summer Institute, participant groups developed an interdisciplinary project for use in their classrooms during the following school year. Participants focused on projects that incorporate science and math components and which tapped into at least one unique and compelling Internet resource. 

Participants attending the 2000 Summer Institute prepared a Training Management Toolkit to be used during the following year as a substantive training resource.
