  • 10:00 - Construct the Adaptable Learning Turbine
  • 11:00 - Use the Engineering Design Process
    • Make and test benchmark blades ( 2, 3, 4)
    • Vary blade angle
  • 12:00 - Lunch
  • 12:30 - Engineering Design Process Continued
    • Design your own blades (vary size, shape, length, number, material, angle and wind speed). Collect data
    • Change the gear ratio
    • Run motors, light LED’s and lights, pump water, charge and use a Supercapacitor
    • Share results
  • 2:30 - Discussion: Energy Engineering and the ALTurbine
  • 2:45 - Institute Follow Up/Evaluations
