Recommendations

Recommendations for Integration:
  • This RWLO can be used either in a Mathematics or Science course. It can serve as an introduction to curve-fitting with a follow-up activity for students to use data analysis software to construct their own models for other sets of data. It can also be used in an Earth Science course as a means for students to learn about the relationships between latitude and daylight and temperature. Students can make predictions based on their models and confirm their predictions at different times of the year.

Back-up:
  • Print-out all of the materials referenced in the Content Material section of this web site and provide sufficient copies to your students.

(NOTE: this RWLO is based on the Global Sun Temperature Project)
