I have been using the Internet at home for
two years but my school has yet to get wired for high speed Internet
access. However, I have found that I can still make use of Internet
sites and resources by providing printouts of material to my student and by
using my email address to send/receive email correspondence on behalf of my
class. Students still use traditional resources such as those found in the
library to conduct much of their research, but I find that students get most
excited when I bring in real time data for them to see or get back an email
from an expert to whom they have written.
