Global Water Sampling Project

Project Conclusion

To All Project Participants:

We here at Stevens would like to thank you for your participation in the Global Water Sampling Project. Hopefully it was an educational and enjoyable experience!

The project will officially conclude on Friday, December 18, 1998. Although you will no longer be able to submit data or to access the discussion area at that point, you will still be able to view the project web pages and the database of results.

We have posted a few classes' final reports in the "Student Work" section of the site. Please take a look when you have a chance. Also be sure to look at the "Photos" section if you haven't already done so.

We are intending to run this project again in the spring and also next fall. Unfortunately, I can't yet give you the dates that the project will run because we need to make some major technical modifications to the project regarding security issues. The best thing to do is to check back on the project web page periodically. When we establish the new dates for the project, they will be posted there.

If you have any comments or suggestions for changing or improving this project, please pass them on to me. Sometimes its hard to know exactly what works and what doesn't work from this end. We would be particularly interested in knowing what time frame is good for you and how long you think the project should run. Recommendations for revising instructions or the format of the web site are also welcome. The more information you can give us about what you would like to see changed, the better the project will be for future participants.

Thanks again for taking the time to learn and incorporate this great technology into your classroom lessons - you are truly making a wonderful difference in the way your students learn!

Sincerely,

Mercedes McKay, Project Leader, mmckay@stevens-tech.edu
