Thank you for responding to my question. The lake we tested had a previous oil spill five years ago.As far as we know there wern't any fishes that we observed. There was some plant life on the shore such as Pickle Weed and Bamboo but no noticable plant life in the water. We found many macro-invertabrates that were tollerant to pollution. We didn't see algae but the water was very muddy and had a very high turbidity level. The water smelled like rotten eggs, which wasn't very pleasant by the way! The water had a funny greenish brownish color and when you stepped in it you would sink. Other readings that we found where nitrates-48.3ppm, DO-10.7ppm, CO2-0ppm, Turbidity-100jtu, PH-7.75ppm. Maybe you can help me figure out the cause of the low CO2 reading now that you have some information about our lake. Once again thank you and I can't wait to get your response!
