Dear partners,
Our school "Koninklijk Atheneum Tienen" (KAT), Belgium, would like to participate in the "Global Water Sampling Project". KAT is a Belgian state-school with about 600 students going from 12 to 18 years old. If you would like to know more about our school and schoolsystem, you can visit our site at We already take part in the"Globe program" since April 1995. The "Globe program" is an international project that exchanges information and measurements about environmental conditions: we do measurements in the weatherhouse, hydrology, soil, vegetation, microclimat, ... and send it off to "Globe" and to other Belgian Globe-schools. Each month we measure the chemical parameters of three hydrological sites: a source, a pond and a river. We will try to send these measurements to the Global Water Sampling Project. As we already have a lot of data collected past schoolyear, we think it’s interesting to send those measurements to the database, so we can compare them with the actual measurements.
Greetings from the team of Tienen Belgium.
