Sawubona from South Africa

We are pupils that study at Hilton College, which is situated close to Hilton Village in the province of kwaZulu-Natal.Hilton's longitude is 29`29'S and its latitude is 30`17'E.

We are lucky enough to be in one of the best high schools in South Africa. We have many wonderful facilities such as five basketball courts, a 500 seat theatre, eight cricket and rugby fields, an artificial-surfaced hockey field, a golf driving range, six tennis courts, six squash courts, seven boarding houses, a library, a computer centre, a chapel and a 3700 acre estate.

The wetland which we are studying consists of three main dams. There are also three underground springs that provide water for the dams. There is a vlei(marshland) surrounding the various dams, which supports many varieties of life such as insects, birds, small animals, and fish in the deeper pools.

The boys doing this project have been divided up into three groups, water, soil, and fauna and flora. We each study and test each of topics and then we will combine our notes and thoughts for our final conclusion. The group thet have written this letter and are sending in the rest of the data, is the water group.

Yours sincerely Jason Fernandes
