Dear Fellow Participants,

Hello, we are 6th grade students from Nathan Hale Middle School in Northvale , New Jersey. Northvale is a small town locateed in northeastern Bergen County with a population of about 4,600. Our latitude is 41N, and longitude is 74W.We have the best school system

In science, we are studying fresh water and water testing. We are going to, visit the Hackensack River with permission to test the water there. We are planning to visit this river on a regular basis. We will first visit a local stream on Danny Lane to practice our testing skills with Mr. Stein our science teacher.

In our school, we recycle paper as well as bottles and aluminum. Our 7th and 8th grade Honor Society students collect it each week from every classroom.

In Nathan Hale, we have a lot of activities such as Technology Club, Art Club, Rocketry Club, International Club, Chess Club, Audio-Visual Club, "Eagle Newspaper", Concert Chorus, Musical Theater Ensemble, Jazz Band, National Junior Honor Society, Safety Patrol, School Store,.

We also have Honor Rolls, A Media Center and a large Technology Room.

We record the weather conditions and make an announcement every morning on the P.A.

Thank you for taking time to read this letter.

Sincerely,

Jacqueline Hur and Ashley Zimmerman
