Greetings from Orlando, Florida. Our school is six years old but at the start of this school year we moved to a new facility. We have over 2,200 students in three grade levels (6th, 7th, and 8th). The weather here is generally warm all year and we have lots and lots of lakes, streams, and waterways all around us. Cape Kennedy, Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios,etc. are just some of the attractions that surround us. Our beaches,both on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, are beautiful, full of sea life, great for recreational sports and fishing. Our school motto is "Journey to the Stars" , our mascott is an astronaut, and our school colors are blue , silver, and white. Crews from the space shuttle "Discovery" have visited us and we really try to keep up on all the latest info from the Cape. Our environmental science classes from all three grade levels will be participating in this study. We have six computers in the classroom, three of which are on-line. (Actually every classroom in the school has three computers that are on-line .)
