Dear Participants:
Eastmont Junior High School is a school of 810 8th and 9th graders. It is located in East Wenatchee, Washington. There are 45 staff members and an average of 28 to 32 kids per classroom. We have one gym, one lunchroom, one library, a science wing, two music rooms, a computer lab, an art room and an industrial arts hall. The students here at Eastmont have many interests. There are a lot of activities the students can get involved in. We have all kinds of sports to play like football, basketball, baseball, and volleyball. We put on two plays that the Drama club does every year.
There's Dance Team and Cheerleading. We have yearbook club that puts together the yearbook for our school. There is also student ASB when students can run for class president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.
There are a lot of activities in the cities of East Wenatchee and Wenatchee. During the summer you can go boating and water skiing on the Columbia River and go rafting on the Wenatchee River. There are many golf courses to golf on and we have two city pools. There is also an 11 mile bike trail that goes around Wenatchee and East Wenatchee that you can ride a bike on, rollerblade, jog or walk. During the winter you can go snowboarding and snow skiing on Mission ridge or go snowmobiling in the hills.
Sincerely,
Jackie Wyngaard and Chris Collings
