Welcome
to the
1997-98 Global Water Sampling Project
***NOTICE***
The New 1998-99 Project can be found at:
For the third year, the students at PS #22 in Jersey City have teamed
up with students around the world to test fresh water. The project will
run from October 6, 1997 through November 14, 1997. This year, students
will:
-
Monitor and compare the water quality of a river, stream, lake, pond, or
other local fresh water supply with other fresh water sources all over
the world.
-
Analyze the data collected for certain chemical tests and determine if
there are relationships among different factors.
-
Identify organisms in their water and see if they are present in other,
more distant, water supplies.
-
Determine if there is a relationship between water quality and the type
of organisms present in their water supply.
