The Global Sun Temperature Project
Registration Step 3 of 5: Review Student Publishing Guidelines
During this project you and your students will have the opportunity to post information and materials to the project web site and discussion area.  We will ask that you follow our internal guidelines and as well as any state or local policies regarding these uses of the Internet in your school.

The Center for Improved Engineering and Science Education (CIESE) at Stevens Institute of Technology has the following internal guidelines regarding the publishing of student work and information on the Internet:

  1. We will not publish student last names.
  2. We will not publish student personal information, such as mailing addresses.
  3. We will not publish logistical information (e.g. where a school group will meeting).
  4. We will only publish student work that meets state and local guidelines, policies and laws.

Most local school districts have policies, often called Acceptable Use Policies (AUP), which specify appropriate use of the Internet by students.  Some states have also passed laws addressing this issue.  We will assume that by registering for this project that you are aware of these polices and will adhere to them.

If you have questions concerning this policy you can e-mail the Project Leader.
