Hi Worldwide Classmates
We are a group of Primary 4 & 5 pupils from Stamford Primary School, Singapore. On the world globe we are just a dot very near the equator but don't be misled by our size! We are a thriving city famous for its port, banking & financial centre & we are all into Information Technology in our kindergartens, schools, universities and workplaces. We are very proud of our nation & its people & the many achievements due to hard work.
Being at the equator we have sunshine throughout the year, roughly 12 hours day and 12 hours night. Sadly however we are experiencing the haze problem due to indiscriminate burning of forests from a neighbouring country. We feel that this form of pollution should be discouraged & action should be taken to prevent it from happening. It's not good for the region or for that matter the whole world! What do you think ?
We are a multi-racial & multi-religious society and we live very happily together. We believe wholeheartedly in meritocracy in the way we do things here. In other words equal opportunities are given to all & we recognise the best & their contributions. Wealth, positions, particular races & groups don't count.
We are also a tourist paradise with so much shopping that can be done not to forget the varieties of food available because of our multi-cultural backgrounds.

Best wishes to all of you. Cheers for the Sun/Temperature project !
