American School - Pudong Campus, 6th grade, A, Shanghai, China
We are SAS Pudong in Shanghai, China. We are a group of grade 6 students. We are doing the Sun Times global sun project in science. People in our class come from 10 different countries. During this project, we took the temperature everyday for 5 days at 11:35am. We also made graphs on latitude verses minutes of the daylight and found out that people in the southern hemisphere has more daylight now. We found the minutes per daylight by finding the sunrise and sunset time and count the minutes in between. The southern hemisphere has more daylight now because there is more direct sunlight to the southern hemisphere. We made graphs showing latitude verses temperature and latitude verses daylight minutes in order to interrupt the results. I thought it was interesting that some people in the southern hemisphere have lots of daylight minutes at this time of the year. E-mail: Ilkka.Bister@saschina.org |
