Hello!
We are students in Mr. Machado's class at Shenandoah Middle School in Miami, Florida. We are located at about 25.75 degrees North Latitude and 80.24 degrees West Longitude on a U.S. map. Our elevation here in Miami is 11 feet or 3.35 meters above sea level. However, our classroom is located on the third floor, at 35 feet or 10.67 meters above sea level. We will soon be moving to a new addition or new campus and a new classroom set up for labs. It has new equipment and some of the latest equipment like a microscope with a camera. The school is located in an area called "Little Havana" in the southwest part of the city. We have about 1,650 students in our school from different parts of South America, Central America and the Caribbean. We love living in Miami with its warm climate. The climate allows us to enjoy the outdoors, including the great beaches that visitors from all over the world come to visit. Yes, we do get sometimes a lot of rain, but it goes away
quickly. We hope that the recent events of September 11th will not prevent you from visiting Miami and our beaches.
Thank You,
Heidi, John, Aileen, Gheysert, Daymara, and Alberto
