“Hello!” everybody all over the world! We are first graders from Lexington, KY. Our school is Cardinal Valley Elementary. Cardinal Valley Elementary has approximately 668 students. We have 22 students in our class.
Our city has grasslands that are very flat. We see beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Our summers are hot and humid (average high 80, average low 60). We have snow in the winter and it gets very cold (average high 40, average low 25). Our latitude is 84 and our longitude is 38.
Lexington is known for their horses. We have the Kentucky Derby every year in May. Our school is right down the street from Keeneland, a famous horse track.
We are looking forward to sending you information about our weather. “Bye! Bye!” to everybody all over the world. We will hear from you soon!

Hello,
You are soooo lucky you are near a horse track! At Vancouver, Washington, in Shahala Middle School, we are nowhere near one(at least I don't think so)! I love horses!
So, you say you have wonderful weather, well we don't. This morning it was freezing cold and raining yesterday. When we went to a corn maze for a field trip a few days ago, it was very muddy. Afterwards when we left, it started raining heavily(...whew..!). Anyhow, I hope you're having fun, and write back soon!!
Sincerely, Vicki :-)
