Dear Fellow Participants of the Global/Sun Temperature Project,
We are 114 eighth grade students in a general science class in Colts Neck, New Jersey, USA. Our latitude is 40° 17'15" North. Our longitude is 074° 10' 22" West.
Colts Neck Township has a land area of 31.70 square miles and is centrally located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. While the township holds onto its historically agricultural character, more and more farmland is being changed to large lot residential development. A large part of Colts Neck belongs to the federal government as part of Naval Weapons Station Earle. Colts Neck has some of the most scenic areas in the county, with large farmsteads, lush pasture land, orchards, and grazing horses.
Please e-mail us if you have any questions for us.

Hi! My name is Lance and I’m a 12-year-old year 7 student at Kippa-Ring state school in Queensland, Australia. We are situated around half an hour drive away from Brisbane, which is where the Goodwill Games were held this year. Have you had any major sporting event near you? What is the closest capital city to where you are situated?
We play many sports for our temperature is usually in the low 30° (C°) and its only spring! So I’m in my pool nearly all the time. The sports we mainly play are cricket, touch football, swimming and surf life saving. What sports do you mainly play at the moment? What is the average temperature?
I would also like to here some more about the navel weapons station. I am looking forward to hearing more about your school and surrounding area.
Bye
Lance
