Hello from America's Heartland. Our fourth-grade class is a part of West Elementary which is in Park Hills, Missouri. Our latitude and longitude are 37:51:15N 90:31:05W. Because of our central location, we have all kinds of weather - cold winters, hot, humid summers, and beautiful springs and autumns.
Our school has about 450 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in it. We have 24 students in our class. We are an eMINTS class which means that we have 1 computer for every 2 students, SmartBoard, scanner, digital camera, and videoconferencing (although our teacher has not yet learned how to use the v-con!)
Park Hills is a small town about 60 miles south of St. Louis. We were once known as the lead capitol of the world due to the lead mining that was once carried out here. However, the mines moved 50 miles southwest about 30 years ago.
Our town was once four towns. They consolidated about 10 years ago so that we have one bigger town.
We are glad to be a part of this project. We hope to hear from some of you.
Good luck and learning!

Dear Mrs Looney’s room
Hello my name is Daniel and I attend Kippa-ring state school in a town called Redcliffe. Redcliffe is thirty miles away from Brisbane the capital of Queensland Australia. Our latitude is 27° ‘28’ s and longitude is 153° ‘2’ s. Our school has 560 students in it. We have a tennis court, soccer field, two cricket ovals and a netball court. What sport ovals do you have?? We have three shelter sheds to eat under and two playgrounds, a sand pit, and thirteen handball courts. I play soccer for club and our season has just ended we came fifth. Many people at our school play sports at lunchtime. What sports do you like to play??
The season here is spring we are starting to play sports like cricket and basketball. We were just in winter but it doesn’t snow in Queensland. Does it snow over there?? In our school we have a computer laboratory where there are thirty-two computers. We have two computers in every classroom. Our class uses the Internet more than any other class. We have kids from ages five to thirteen.
Yours sincerely
Daniel

Hi, room 203,
We were pleased to receive your e-mail and would be glad to to answer your questions.
Well, to start off we are a sixth grade class at James F. Doughty school in Bangor which is in central Maine.
For the past week our average temperature has been 11 degrees celsius. Most trees are now bare. We expect a chilly winter on the way with knee deep snow and many days with temperatures below zero.
We hope your Blow and Flow day went well.
Thanks again for writing,
Ms. winne's sixth grade science class.
