Bonjour!
We are a sixth grade class at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. Our school is in the southeastern part of the USA. Sacred Heart Schools can be found through out the world. We are an all girl school. The Academy was started in 1821. We have PK through 12th grade.

Our school is located in St. Landry Parish. Our location is 30 degrees north and 92 degrees west. Our elevation is 53 feet. The population of Grand Coteau is 1118 people. We are near the Gulf of Mexico. Our climate is mild, humid, and hot. Our winters are short and warm. Normally, we have a wet climate, but the last 4 years were very dry and hot. Last year it snowed on New Years, but that was unusual.

Our region is famous for its Cajun culture, spicy food, music, and many festivals including Mardi Gras.

Hello, we live in Misawa, Japan. We live on an Air Base though. It is very cool here. How many inches of snow do yall get yearly? We get a lot. Last year we got 180 inches! What’s Up?

Hi my name is Russ I am a seventh grader at Kippa-Ring State School, Redcliffe. I am 13. I really enjoy playing Rugby League, Cricket, Soccer and I also like BMX. What kind of sports do you like to play? In your letter you said your climate is mild, humid and hot. Our climate goes from hot to rainy, windy to roasting and our winters are rather short as well. Our school uniforms are Light blue t-shirts or collared & dark blue skirts or shorts for the girls and Dark blue shorts for the boys. The sports we do at our school the sports we have are : Rugby League, Soccer, Cricket, Basketball, Fishing, Bowling, Netball, Tennis, Volleyball, Archery and Dance. Hello, the sports that I like to play are indoor and outdoor soccer, aggressive skating, skateboarding, BMX, flatlanding, and sometimes basketball. My sister likes to play basketball. I also like to scooter. Do you like your school? I am homeschooled and so far it is going well. Do you get snow there? If so, how much? What do you do afterschool? I go up to this mini mall and play in the arcade sometimes or I just go outside. I take band at the high school on base. I play percussion. I am in the intermediate band which is the second level of band. I also am taking gymnastics I just started a few weeks ago. It is fun. Well, reply back when you get a chance to.
