To all Schools around the world,
We are Anderson's Creek Primary School, from Warrandyte, Victoria, Australia. We had an average of 605 minutes of daylight on the week of the 14th May. We made graphs showing how many daylight minutes other countries had compared to us. Canada had the most daylight because of earth's tilt and so the sun is mainly shining on the Northern Hemisphere in May. Canada had 368 minutes more daylight than us because the southern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun. All countries in the southern hemisphere had similar daylight hours. We have sent photos of models we made showing how the tilt of the earth and the earth's orbit around the sun causes the seasons and the amount of daylight hours that we have. We also have a photo of aa big model showing how season's occur and how the earth rotates to cause day and night.
