Sunny Days To All!

Greetings from Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland is located on the shores of Lake Erie. We are approximately 42 degrees latitude and 82 degrees longtitude. Just across Lake Erie is our neigbor Canada. Thomas Jefferson is a hundred year old brick building consisting of grades 6-8. Our school building is nestled in between bungalow houses spaced very close together. We have four floors in our building if you count the lower level. The sixth grade is located on the third, or top floor. We have 12 sixth grade teachers that form four cores. Cores are three teachers that share the same group of students. Each teacher teachers language arts and one other subject. As you should suspect, I teach science. We only have 2 computers available for my entire class. We have learned how to use them efficiently and fairly. Since we completed a weather unit in October 2000, my students have observed our local animated weather radar daily. They are excited to participate in a project that is global.
