On behalf of the students and staff of Central Kings Rural High
School in Cambridge, Nova Scotia, Canada HELLO! I would like to
take this opportunity to tell other schools a little something
about of school and community.
Where are we geographically? Central Kings is located at 45
degrees North Latitude, 64 degrees West Longitude. Our school is
a comprised of 900 students, grades 8-12. As some may know,
Canada is made up of (10) ten provinces and (3) three
territories. Nova Scotia is a province located on the east coast
of Canada. Our province is 52 840 kilometres squared and has
about 960 000 people. Central Kings is located approximately
one hour west of Halifax which is the capital of Nova Scotia. As
the title of of school indicates, we are a rural school. Most
families earn their living in the agricultural and service
sections of our economy.
Some of the popular sport activities at our school include
soccer and track & field. Another piece of information about our
school that may interested many is that our school is
celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2002 and many activities and
planned.
A few students of Global Geography 12 will lead in this
activity and I hope to communicate via Email to schools in the
coming weeks.

Mr. Steve Wohlmuth

Hello from Fairfield CT!!!

We were very interested in a few things that you stated in your letter.
One thing that we were interested in is that in 2002 it will be your 50th
aniversery!! Did some of your parents and grandparents go to this
school? Also, did any of your teachers teach your parents? We also
have a soccer field and one of the girl's dad is the coach. Do any of
your parents coach too?
Thanks,
Rebecca, Nicole, Maureen, and Danielle

Hello:
I am a student at Livingston Junior High School. Livinston is a city in the state of Texas in the United States. I am very interested to learn about your school.

Soccer is not as popular here, but rack and field are. I think it is cool that you are having a 50th anniversary in 2002.

Does it snow in Cambridge? If so, when and how long does snow say on the ground? It never snows in Livingston. Any time we think it might snow, everyone gets very excited. In the summer it gets extremely hot, sometimes up to 105 degrees F. Does it ever get that hot in Cambridge?

Thank you,
Shandi
