To our new friends,
There are fifty-eight fourth grade students, two fourth grade teachers, and one computer teacher who are involved with this temperature project. ALL OF US extend our warmest wishes to ALL OF YOU!
Our school is named St. Norbert after a holy bishop who lived a saintly life. We have an enrollment of four hundred seventy-one children in our school which provides classes from kindergarten through the eighth grade. Please visit our web site listed below. We are located in St. Louis County, MO. This is the Mid-western part of the United States and is called “The Gateway to the West.” We have a famous monument called The Gateway Arch. There is a 630-foot ride to the top of the Arch in a tram where people see a breathtaking view of city, along with listening to information that explains St. Louis’ history, and its role in the westward expansion of the United States. A trip to the world-famous Arch also includes a museum with talking animatronics, a fabulous documentary, a three-dimensional brick mural, and many more entertaining, interactive exhibits. Come and visit us sometime – we’d love it!
Our postal address is a town called Florissant, MO. Florissant means “Valley of the Flowers.” It is an historical city settled by the French in the seventeen hundreds. Florissant is located at longitude W90.3, latitude N38.8.
We are beginning a special time of preparation at our school called Advent. This time is made up of the four weeks before the celebration of Christmas. We are preparing ourselves spiritually for the great feast of Christmas – the celebration of Jesus’ birthday. The children are very excited because on December 25th “Santa Claus” will come to their homes with gifts for them.
Happy holidays to you! We are looking forward to hearing from you, learning from you, and working with you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Anthony
Mrs. Lovette
