Tell us more about A.S.P. What does it stand for? What classes do you have there? Where is Clay Elementary and what grade are you in?
In science class we have been investigating how the Sun's rays strike Earth at different times of year. We measure our shadows and the angle of the Sun above the horizon at the same time of day at the beginning of each month. We also compute and record the hours of daylight in Lexington at this time. We will soon begin graphing this data and continue our graphs throughout the year. Another thing we've done in science this year are land snail investigations, measuring, weighing, and olympics. We wrote cinquain poetry about our snails. Then students "adopted" them.
We want to find out about classes at as many different latitudes as possible.
Would you be willing to share the special ways you celebrate the New Year with us?
