Lookout Valley Middle School

Greeting from Lookout Valley Middle School Seventh grade class in Chattanooga, Tennessee! We are located 35 degrees North, 85 deg 30' W just above the TN-GA border. Our school is named for the famous Lookout Mountain, which is in fron of us. It was used as a lookout for the Indians and the armies in the Civil War. To the East of us is the Tennessee River, which offers beautiful scenery as well as recreational activities. Our school is 6th -12th grade, approximately 500 students, and operates on a block

of 4 classes per day.Our academics, sports (including cheerleaders, and band are excellent.

Chattanooga has an incline railway which travels at a 79 degree slpoe up the Lookout Mt., a 4 story fresh water aquarium, and a new IMAX theater. Other attractions are the new football stadium, the nature center, which has a hospital for wild animals and houses red wolves, Civil War battlefields, and the only carousel carving school in America. Of course, the famous Chattanooga choo choo has an exhibit and there is a train museum which offers a steam engine trip! Mrs. Witt's class
