Walker Butte School
Queen Creek, Arizona

We are from Queen Creek, Arizona.  It is a rural community.  There are very few stores here.  We live in a desert.  We have hotter temperatures, footprints, less grass, less water, scorpions, lizards, snakes, orange trees, cactus, dead grass, snake holes, a lot of dirt, and a lot of rocks.  It is very dry and we can get a lot of dust storms.
In Ohio at St. Charles Borromeo they have snow, green grass, cooler temperatures, and more water.  In their front yards they have grass.  It rains more in Ohio.
Ohio and Arizona have some things in common.  Spiders, ladybugs, birds, trees, dragonflies, dirt, footprints, and ants are some things we have in common.
We both have dirt so we can plant things.  We both have insects because insects live everywhere.  Ohio has more grass because they have more rain and we live in a desert.
We learned that it snows in Ohio.  They have more grass.  They have less breaks from school then we do.
We collaborated with a 4th grade class in Ohio through interactive television for this project.  This is Ms. Jamison's 2nd grade class.
