San Martín de Tours School, Buenos Aires, Argentina

We are a first grade class at San Martín de Tours school. Our class had 5 squares of life. We worked divided in groups of 4 or 5. We put all our data together in one report and compared our information to the one provided by Redding Elementary School in Redding, Connecticut. Their school is located in a rural area.

We found many things that were the same in our squares. Non living things that were alike were mud, and small rocks. The living animals that we both found were ants, beetles and worms. Bushes and weed were found in all of the squares.

Also, we found different things. The reason for this might be that Redding Elementary Scholl is located in a rural area in Redding and our school is located in a big city.

At Redding Elementary School they found flying bugs, frogs and little fishes of different colors.

Here, in San Martin de Tours, we found some birds and butterflies.

The non-living things that they found were big rocks, dirt, metal and paper. We found a piece of cookie, a statue and an elastic band, a cigarette, a lollipop wrapping paper a tap and a nail.

We also learnt in this Project that they live in the North and we live in the South of the planet. Now, they are in spring and we are in fall. Their winters are cold and snowy.

In their town there are a few stores, one library, a post office and a couple of blinking traffic lights.

We found this experience very interesting and we liked comparing our squares!
