We found lots of insects. We found isopods, mosquitoes, spider eggs (brown widow), an earwig, several flies and ants, a ladybug and a beetle. We also found a brown widow spider, worms, bees, and a lizard.

We found roots, leaves and sticks from various surrounding trees. We found lots grass and weeds including the pennywort weed. We found an orange and yellow gerber daisy, crepe myrtle tree, snap dragons, clovers, and hickory nuts.

We know that both oxygen and carbon dioxide are present in our squares. We found dripping water, soil, clay, rocks, a stone bench leg, and some asphalt. We found glass, a metal drainage pipe, a paper clip, some concrete, a piece of netting, a plastic blue bead, a lollipop paper stick, half of a crayon, a broken spoon, foil paper, and a nail. We also found a cocoon and spider web.
