Hi. My name is Victoria Vo and I’m nine years old. I live in Tinton Falls New Jersey, USA. My schools name is Mahala F. Atchison Elementary School. For the Square of Life project we went into the forest near my school. We found different leaves and flowers on 4/22/09 and 4/23/09. When we finished gathering our data and samples we researched them on the computer. We also found a variety of animal tracks. We found a lot of living things. Here are some of the things we found: the American elm, baby’s breath, black oak leaves, dandelions, carpenter ants, Kenilworth, and more. We also found living things that we couldn’t identify so we looked them up on the internet. Here are things that we didn’t know what they were: chickweed and baby’s breath. Finally we identified non-living things. Like acorn, deer tracks, rabbit holes, tree stumps, and leaves after they had fallen off the trees. We also found an unidentified animal track (we have attached a photo so if anyone knows what it is please help us). Also we found a mole hole that was huge. Hello my name is Michaela. People call me Mickey. I go to Mahala F Atchison in New Jersey. On the 22 & 23 we observed some are living and non-living thing. We observed them near the forest out back. When we were done observing we went inside and on the computer. We checked some flowers and planets that we were unable to identify.
