Internet Access in
School But Not in Classroom
If you have Internet access in your school, such as in the library,
media center or main office, you can use these access points to effectively
collect data for use in the project. Here are some recommendations:
Take Field Trips to Internet Computer - Arrange to take your class
or small group of students to the Internet access computer on a regular
basis for data collection.
Train Student Technical Assistants - If your students are relatively
novice computer or Internet users you can train some of them after school
to be technical assistants. Then when data collection is necessary you
can assemble groups of students and include one technical assistant in
each group. This can allow you to send a group out to do the data collection
even though they may not all have the necessary computer skills.
NOTE: You can use any of the techniques in the next section as well.
