Letter of Introduction from Summit Middle School, Summit, NJ, USA
Summit Middle School is located in Summit, NJ. We are about twenty-five miles from New York City. There are about 800 students in grades 6,7and 8. Summit is a beautiful city located near Watchung Reservation. We have parks, an arboretum, YMCA,recreation center and youth center. The middle school offers many after school activities which include outstanding sports teams, a newspaper, literary magazine, year book, drama club, investment club, conservation club, Science Olympiad, Math League, and intramurals. We study physical science in 6th grade, life science in 7th grade and earth science in 8th grade. We have just finished a project called "Earth Day Minute" so that the students could study an environmental issue and present it in a creative way to their science class.
