(I just submitted my class results.) Letter of introduction from Genetics Elective Daniels Middle School

We have approximately one thousand students. We are one of only three middle schools in our school system with an English as a Second Language Program. We have over one hundred students from twenty six different countries at Daniels. The students in our school come from a variety of economic and ethnic backgrounds. Eighty percent of our students were on or above grade level at the end of the 1998-99 school year. This is based on our state's end of grade testing. We are located in Raleigh, North Carolina. We experienced hurricane Floyd last week and many of our neighboring counties are still out of school due to flooding. This class is an eighth grade genetics elective. We have nine students-- eight are males and one female--six are African American, one is Asian American, and two are white. We enjoyed participating in the survey and posting the data to the web.
