Salutations to all! We attend school at Cutler Ridge Middle School in Miami, Florida in the United States of America. You can pin point us on a map at 25N/80W. This year Cutler Ridge Middle is turning 40! It's a public school and about 1,400 students attend.
Each year, Miami holds a parade called the Orange Bowl Parade and many high school marching bands attend, yet our band is the only junor high school that has ever been invited. It's a great honor. In addition to that, we have a very good volleyball team. They've only been defeated once. We also have a swim team which placed first in the county this year. We have many computers available for students and teachers. The parents and students can log on to the Internet and see their grades by viewing the teachers computerized grade books. All you need to know is your ID number and your birthday.
Many tourists from all over the world come to Miami in the winter time, especially senior citizens. Miami always has a mild temperatures all year round. In the summer it gets really hot and that's when tourists flee to the beaches. The beaches down here are really nice. In Miami, we have a lot of industries, from importing and exporting to farming.
Cutler Ridge Middle School has great teachers. Most teachers here make learning fun. You see, teachers think that students need to be able to visualize things to remember them. Cutler Ridge also has students who are very talented! Many of the students enjoy drawing, so we have a program called Ridge Arts. It's a very exhilarating program. We also have programs for talented writers and dancers. Our school has extra curricular programs that every student can enjoy.
I hope you enjoyed this letter because we read some of the letters posted on the site and enjoyed them a lot.
Sincerely,
Cutler Ridge Middle School, Miami, Florida, U.S.A.
