Letter of Introduction

Posted by Evelyn Maurice on Friday, 26 November 1999, at 11:36 a.m.

Greetings from Long Branch High school. We are located- 40 degrees and 20 minutes north latitude and 74 degrees west longitude- right on the Atlantic Coast in the state of New Jersey. Our school is a great learning environment. Our biology class was assigned to complete the genetics project provided by this site. On Tuesday and Wednesday we visited approximately 28 homerooms in our school to complete the genetic survey. Our school's population is approximately 1200. The overall number of students which we surveyed was 364.

Long Branch High School has a long history. It was built in three stages. The first was in the twenties, the second in the fifties and the third in the eighties. The school colors are green and white and our mascot is the Green Wave. Recently, our field hockey team has been recognized in the media. Our football team is going to the Championships and competing for the B-North title. Our school is also very proud of our arts program, school clubs and all the diverse academic programs offered.

In conclusion, I would like to take this time to thank everyone who has participated in our survey. I hope you enjoyed learning about our school. If you have any questions please send us a message and we will get back to you.

Thank you,

From Mrs. Maurice's Biology Class

P.S. This letter was a collaborative effort by six students of our class: Noah A., Janelle C., Jessica C., Carolyn G.,Pedro P. and Ryan T.
