Dear Arizona Daily Star Editors:

For the last two weeks my classmates and I have been trying to find out how much water we use.  We found out that the average kid uses about 320 gallons a day.  The project was called Down the Drain.  Down the Drain is a special project that help us to compare how much water we use in Tucson to other places around the country and the world.  The things we talk about were how to save water.  Some example are by not leaving the sink on and calling a plumber when a leak comes.  Other things people could do is to buy low flow toilets and low flow shower heads.
