Question: Are the macroinvertebrates found in pond water samples the same all over the world?

Hypothesis: Not all the macroinvertebrates are going to be the same around the world.  Only some of them may be the same.

The reason for our hypothesis is that every country is different all over the world. Each place has different characteristics and depending on them the organisms may grow or not. For example: the weather is different, as well as, the temperature. It could be cold or warm, spring or fall. Some macroinvertebrates will grow in determinate climates.

Also we thought about the pollution of the water that may exist in the diverse ponds. We think that some macroinvertebrates will grow or not depending on the level of pollution the water of each pond may have. If the pond is not polluted, there will be much more specified organisms than in polluted ponds. The food they will find to survive may be different too.

Materials: Spoons, eye droppers, sample boxes, buckets, collecting nets, ladles, identification guide, rulers, sticks and more.
