This mailing list is sponsored by CIESE, The Center for Innovation in Engineering & Science Education at Stevens Institute of Technology. We collaborate with K-12 and university educators, researchers, policymakers and educational organizations to develop curriculum materials, conduct professional development programs, and research new methodologies to strengthen STEM education. This list will not only update you on CIESE activities but will serve as a forum for K-12 teachers and others to share ideas for STEM education.

How to Subscribe to the CIESE listserv

1. Open a web browser window.
2. Go to the url: http://ciese.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ciese.
3. Fill out the subscription form.
4. Within a few minutes you will receive a confirmation message, which will give you instructions on how to quickly confirm your email address.
5. Once you have successfully confirmed your email address, you will receive a welcome message which includes directions on how to change your subscription settings, including unsubscribing from the list.
6. Keep this message for future reference.

1. Open your email program to compose a message.
2. Address the message to: ciese-request@ciese.org
3. In either the subject line or the message body, write the word: subscribe
4. Send the message.

To Unsubscribe from the CIESE Listserv

1. Visit http://ciese.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ciese.
2. Go down to the CIESE Subscribers section, enter the email address you subscribed from, and press the "Unsubscribe or edit options" button.
3. Go to the Unsubscribing from CIESE section, click on the checkbox, and then click the "Unsubscribe" button.
4. You will receive confirmation that you are unsubscribed.

1. Using the email address from which you subscribed, create an email message to: ciese-request@ciese.org
2. In either the subject line or the message body write the word: unsubscribe
   
3. Send your message.
4. You will receive an email with final instructions to complete the process.

How to Post a Message to the CIESE listserv

1. Post messages to the CIESE listserv by sending an email addressed to: ciese@ciese.org

Remember that everyone who subscribes to this listserv will automatically receive your message.

How to Change Your Email Address

1. The best and fastest way to change your email address (on any listserv) is to subscribe to the listserv using your new email address.
2. If your old email address is still active, you can also unsubscribe from the list using that email.
3. Any inactive emails get bounced back and we remove the address from the listserv.
4. Subscribing and unsubscribing is done automatically by computer and only takes a few minutes.

Check the instructions for subscribing and unsubscribing so that you send your email message to the correct address. It is different from the email address used to post messages.

Please do not post a message to the listserv requesting that your email address be changed. There are many hundreds of people who subscribe to the CIESE listserv and they will all receive your message.
