This is pretty neat how it works out. This is chocolate math!!!!!!!

It takes less than a minute........ Work this out as you read.

Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked
it

out! This is not one of those waste of time things, it's
fun...

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate. (try for more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 (being a bit stupid) I'll wait while you get the calculator................

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add
1751....

If you haven't, add 1750 ..........

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

(if you remember)

You should have a three digit number .....

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are your age.

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2001) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS. IMPRESSIVE ISN'T IT?

Solution:

Pick a number ---------------> |

Multiply by 2 |

Add 5 |

Multiply by 50 |

Add 1750 or |

Add 1751 |

Subtract year of birth (from A7) |

Subtract year of birth (from A8) |

Step 1: (The bag
represents the number of chocolate you would like to eat)

Step 2:
(2 times the bag)

Step 3: + 5 (add 5)

Step 4: 100 + 250 (2 bags * 50 and 5 * 50)

Step 5a: 100 + 2000

(or if you already had your birthday)

Step 5b: 100
+ 2001

Step 6a: 100 + 2000 - the year you were born

or

Step 6b: 100
+ 2001 - the year you were born

Note that you are subtracting your birth year from the current year. Isn't that the way you normally do it? :-) Since no one is over 100 years old multiplying the number you started with by 100 pushes it over two places so that it doesnít disturb your actual age which are the digits in the tens and ones place.

For example if you start with the number 7 and were born in January,
1956 your numbers would look like this:

Pick a number ---------------> | 7 |

Multiply by 2 | 14 |

Add 5 | 19 |

Multiply by 50 | 950 |

Add 1750* or | 2700 |

Add 1751** | 2701 |

Subtract year of birth* (from A7) | |

Subtract year of birth** (from A8) | 745 |

* if you haven't had your birthday yet this year.

** if you already had your birthday this year.
